Headshot low res 3

Hi there!

I’m Genevieve.  And I used to be…

-15 pounds heavier

-a smoker

-suffering from an eating disorder

-a generally negative human being

Just a little over a year ago I decided to take the driver’s seat in my life.  I was living in NYC and after years of being an actress and bartender (which definitely helped solidify an already brewing eating disorder) I began working in marketing (my major was communications, so it made sense).  At that time, I was also in a relationship that was unhealthy.  The person I was with wasn’t a bad person, but our relationship was on a negative merry-go-round that fueled our unhealthy habits.

After feeling in a rut and wanting out of my relationship, my cut throat marketing job and one of the toughest cities in the world, I decided to take a leap of faith.  I knew big changes had to happen and I thought why not move across the country and pursue my passion?  So I left the dirty, crowded city and moved to the Pacific Northwest.  I decided to enroll in prerequisite courses for a graduate program in Nutrition.

While taking classes, I stumbled upon a fitness coaching opportunity and the rest is history.  From the beginning, I knew it was what I was meant to do.  It offered everything in life that I had been looking for…

-Financial freedom and control over my schedule

-Helping people achieve their fitness and life goals

-The tools and platform to follow my passion for fitness and personal growth

If any of the above resonates with you, or if you’re looking for more out of life, or if you have a desire to make health and fitness your living then join me.  No strings attached, I’d love to share my story with you and tell you a little bit about what I do.

My Body and Weight Struggles

This was me at my heaviest. And although to some people, it may not look like I was overweight, I was struggling on the inside.  I remember having a busy student schedule and literally eating 1000 calories a day of frozen vegetables that I would heat up in my dorm microwave.  On the weekends I’d end up binging on icecream and pizza; I was on a never-ending cycle of restricting and binging.

After years of dieting and binging through college I read “Naturally Thin” by Bethenny Frankel.  I definitely recommend that book to anyone suffering from dieting and binging.  It changed my outlook on food and helped me live like a normal person.  So for a few years, I threw dieting out the window and ate as I pleased. But I still didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin.  I would still stress eat and feel poorly about my body.

My Transformation with Beachbody

Then came Insanity and Turbo Fire–these two programs by Beachbody helped me fall in love with exercising again.  I no longer had to go to the gym, I felt empowered by the workouts and I had a coach helping me through the programs.  Through working Beachbody programs such as Insanity, The 21 Day Fix, Turbo Fire and PiYo I got into a healthy balance and began to feel confident and comfortable with my body.

Paying it Forward as a Coach

Now I’m here to pay it forward. What I’ve learned about my health and fitness journey is that if I want to “keep” something, I must “give it away”.

In other words, the way I hold myself accountable and continue forward on my health/fitness/recovery is by helping others to do the same.  My job now is to empower other women that have suffered from eating disorders, binge eating, stress eating, poor body image, low self esteem and/or weight-loss struggles.

If you’d like me as your personal coach, I would love to speak with you!

  1. Major peanut butter fan here, too! Love it with any fruit and lately been having it with my yogurt fruit shakes. Never EVER with bread! A great little meal is sliced apple & no-salt crunchy Trader Joe PB, which for some reason I like more than the PB from a self-serve PB machine. Don’t know why because the only ingredients in both are “peanuts” and that’s it. (Your mom & I worked together in NJ a long time ago. We never met, Genevieve. Lots of good luck to you!)

  2. Hi Marge, so nice to meet you here! I LOVE apples with peanut butter. My mom used to make that for us as kids all the time and it definitely stuck with me! Thank you! I’m new to the blogosphere so thanks for the warm welcome!

  3. Peanut butter mixed with chocolate ice cream. How can I make that healthy? It’s my secret decadent treat. You are beautiful!!!
